Dealing with the loss of a pet - The Bear Project
Share
We would like to introduce Jody Crossley, a first-time author who has written a book about grief associated with the loss of a pet. She has written the book to help others with their grief but also speaking up for the amazing work our vet teams do as they are struggling with a high suicide rate and depression due to the pandemic, resourcing issues and the abuse from pet parents. The other part of her book focuses on workplace awareness.
Jody has written this book from her personal journey of loosing her beloved dog Bear.
The book is an unapologetic, raw and emotional journey but is inspiring and will assist other people dealing with their grief.
Bear became the child Jody always wanted but was never fortunate to have. Jody loved her with all her heart and soul.
Jody has a chronic medical condition called Crohn's disease and lives on her own. Bear was very in tune with her medical condition even alerting her when she needed iron infusions.
With all the support Jody has received, she has been able to raise funds to get her book edited, with the hope to get it out before Christmas.
